2023 Featured Rams
White River Lot 1
First son offered by Moorundie 061. This ram displays typical traits of this family with his plain body and fibre/meat qualities. He has excellent purity, poll factor and a white crimpy medium wool on a safe body – he makes an ideal sale starter! PP Gene.
White River Lot 2
This ram has been a standout since a ram lamb. Coming from the successful “Smithy” family he is sure to impress. He has a exceptional length of body with a good topline and stands square front and back. He is covered with a extra long stapled white crimpy sires wool suitable for all areas. This ram also has excellent poll factor and purity.
White River Lot 3
A tall long bodied ram with a good conformation. He has an exceptional wool growing skin that produces long stapled lustrous deeply crimped sirey wool. His pedigree is exemplary.
White River Lot 4
A very well covered ram, strong pure silky muzzle, fault free body, with a long stapled crimpy well nourished wool.
White River Lot 13
Well made with a fault free safe square body, with width through the chest, rib cage and hind quarters. He has a good head and horn setting and skin purity. Well covered with bright medium wool with good colour and nourishment.
White River Lot 14
Very tall, extremely long bodied and fault free. Well covered with long stapled medium white wool.

2022 43rd Annual on-property Auction
Last year’s record price of $23,000 has been beaten. There was a full clearance of the 160 magnificent big bodied, free growing, white wooled, White River rams – selling to a top of $24,000 a new stud on property record and averaging $3270.

2021 42nd Annual on-property Auction
A new record has been set for White River Poll Merino and Merino Stud after their top ram sold for $23,000 at last Thursday’s sale. Celebrating their 42nd annual sale, the top ram drew strong bidding and was purchased by the Murdoch family at North Cowie, Warooka.

2020 41st Annual on-property Auction
The Daniell family’s White River Merino and Poll Merino stud achieved another outstanding result at their 41st annual ram sale at Poochera. There was a full clearance of the 187 magnificent big bodied, heavy cutting White River rams, selling to a top of $15,000 and averaging $2469.

2019 40th Annual on-property Auction
The Daniell family’s 40th annual White River Merino and Poll Merino ram sale at Poochera produced a very fitting and celebratory result, achieving the stud’s highest ever average price.

2018 Eyre Peninsula Field Day
White River won the 2018 Elders Eyre Peninsula Champion Hogget Ram of The Year Award at the recent EP Stud Merino Breeders Pre Sale Merino and Poll Merino Expo at Wudinna with Poll ram WR 881 sired by Moorundie NE8 and from Kulkami family ewe – Ridgway stud.

The Daniell family were placed 1st and 3rd in the Elders EP Champion Hogget Ram of the Year.

2018 Hay Merino Sheep Show
White River won the coveted Champion Hogget Merino Ewe award – a cash prize of $1500.
The embryo transfer bred ewe was sired by WR 733, a son of Collinsville Premier, purchased for $34,000 in 2013.
Her Mother was from the Nyowee 134 family.
White River had an outstanding day at Hay collecting many ribbons with their team of 4 rams and 2 ewes and indeed stood 2nd and 4th in the line up 45 entries from 3 states in the Riverina Wool Australian Riverina Champion Hogget ram class, an effort we are really proud of.
The ram placed 2nd WR 881 was subsequently awarded the Elders EP Hogget Ram of the Year a month later.

2017 Hay Merino Sheep Show
The Daniell Family had a major triumph at the 2017 Hay Sheep Show, repeating their 2016 outstanding success.
They won the main class at this now major Merino show where over 400 sheep entered by major studs and commercial producers from 3 states were lined up for competition.
it was White River’s Poll Merino ram, WR 546 that came out on top in the most important class, the Riverina Wool Australian Champion Hogget ram class, winning $5000 for doing so.

2016 Royal Adelaide Show
White River Stud made a triumphant return to the Royal Adelaide Show with a heavy cutting medium wool ram, winning it’s way through the March shorn classes.
The May 2015- drop ram – Venus 55 was the Hogget Ram of the Year at Hay, NSW, in June and has continued to grow, weighing 143 kilograms prior to the show.
The 21.5 micron ram, by home-bred sire Venus 80, had wool tests of 2.9 standard deviation, 13.5 coefficient of variation and 99.4 per cent comfort factor. It will be retained as a stud sire.

2016 Hay Merino Sheep Show
White River 50049, “Venus”, was the winner of the 2016 “Riverina Wool Australian Champion Hogget Merion Ram” award.

2010 Royal Adelaide Show
White River “Kaldoonera” won the Supreme Champion Merino or Poll Merino Ram or Ewe award – The first time that an autumn shorn grand champion had won that award.
